VNC is an alternative remote path to the same Ubuntu desktop as with RDP. Whether VNC is enabled for your workspace is shown on the workspace start page (for example VNC host, port, or a web-based VNC client).
Prerequisites
- Like RDP, access typically runs through Tailscale for Workspace VMs unless your team documents otherwise.
- Use the VNC connection details shown on the workspace start page (address, port, password or token).
Connect
- Install a VNC viewer (for example TigerVNC or RealVNC Viewer) if you do not already have one.
- Connect using the host and port from the workspace start page.
- Enter the password or credentials displayed there.
If a browser-based VNC link is provided, open it in a supported browser and follow the on-page instructions.
Alternative: RDP
The usual desktop access is via RDP; see Desktop via RDP.
